Vintage Singer

Claire Louise

Claire Louise is a professional singer from the North East - North Yorkshire area. A classically trained singer with a true passion for vintage style, Claire Louise is guaranteed to impress with her vocal talents and is equally at home providing the soundtrack to your sophisticated Gatsby era ball, as she is rallying an audience to join in with wartime singalong classics at a 1940's themed event. She sings locally and at events across the UK, at 1920s themed Peaky Blinders or Gatsby style events, wartime 1940s weekends, and entertains at pubs and parties with her 1960s-70s-80s soul, pop, Motown and disco sets. From big public events and festivals to pubs and care homes, Claire Louise is able to provide the perfect mix of music for your event.

Claire is well know for her outstanding vocal talent, especially when performing jazz standards by the great composers of years gone by, Postmodern Jukebox style covers of modern pop with a 1920s jazz twist, and big band showstoppers from the 1940s.

Claire can also belt out Motown classics and pop, disco and soul from the 1960s onwards with her powerful voice that can really do justice to the soul and disco classics.

Claire Louise can put together a set to create the right atmosphere for your special event, whether it be a specific theme or an eclectic mix that you require. Bespoke set lists are available, along with suggested set lists for your event e.g. for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.

In previous years shows have included a Peaky Blinders themed Amsterdam Cruise, the Christmas Wishes event for C.W.Sellors held at The Chatsworth Estate. Claire sang at several public events in the area when it was the Queen's Jubilee, from Morpeth to Yarm.  Claire sings at The Grand Hotel a few times each year as her 1920s show perfectly suits their Art Deco setting and it back there at the end of May, then again in August to coincide with being back at Lytham War Weekend.  Claire is also looking forward to returning to  Ushaw House Way Back When in August.

Claire will be visiting Bamburgh Castle to sing 1940s wartime music for their D-Day event on 8th and 9th June and looks forward to doing the same as part of Northallerton's Home Front event again at the end of June.  Claire will be bringing her 1920s-30s show to Kelham Hall Christmas Vintage Festival at the end of November. Private events have included several weddings around the country, dinners for the Battle of Britain and The Founders at RAF Leeming, and several beautiful garden parties.

Claire enjoyed a particularly busy time during D-Day week this year. As well as spending the 8th/9th June at Bamburgh Castle, she appeared at Heugh Battery Museum on 1st June for their D-Day 80 event and will be visited a number of care homes in the area to help residents enjoy their D-Day 80 events as well as singing at The Greyhound at Riccall on the evening of the 6th before the lighting of the beacon.

She is due at Hartlepool's National Museum of the Royal Navy for their 1940s weekend on 6th - 7th July and is looking forward to performing 1920s-30s jazz at Oulton Gold Cup at the end of July.

Claire Louise loves to give back to the local community so community groups are offered a discounted rate, especially if they have to raise funds locally for their events or rely on member subscriptions to fund events.
